We are looking for a reliable, experienced Groom for our small private yard. This is a varied sole-charge role caring for: • 3 fit hunters • 1 rising 6-year-old in light work, after foot operation • 3 five-year-olds turned away for the winter, back in work when hunters out for the summer • 4 polo ponies for the summer

You’ll also help check a small flock of sheep during the winter and carry out general yard and field maintenance (cleaning drinkers, mending fences, painting, etc.).

Position Details • Live-in accommodation provided • 6 days per week • Self-employed or PAYE option • Good local livery yard nearby with arena, jumps, and excellent hacking if you wish to bring your own horse

Essential Skills & Qualities • Confident, capable rider with excellent horse care standards • Cheerful, positive attitude and good communication skills • Happy to work independently and take responsibility • References required
