Groom needed Mon to Fri - Private Yard We are looking for an experienced groom to work on our small Private yard based in Surrey on Monday - Fri. Full time hours not required but must be available to come on these days. Must be diligent, honest and reliable.

General yard duties include bringing in, turning out, grooming, feeding and exercising etc of 5 easy-to-do horses and (2) miniature shetlands. All geldings and they are currently living out with stabling facilities.

Role includes:

• Regular exercising for 3 allrounders- schooling and groundwork (lunge and long reign)
• feed, water, haying - auto waters in fields
• mucking out and poo picking
• grooming (incl clipping etc)
• reporting injuries, illness or any changes
• present for farrier, vet, dentist etc
• keeping yard tidy
• organising and keeping tack room tidy
• organising hay, feed and bedding deliveries

We are moving to a new location at the end of the year/beginning of 2026. We need somebody who will be involved in this development project with us. Situation will be explained during initial phone call.

Requirements:

• confident and experienced rider (our horses are all safe and very willing)
• must be reliable, responsible & trustworthy
• calm and confident with handling (1 of ours is nervous and needs to build trust)
• Previous experience on a livery yard/private yard
• Awareness on any signs of lameness, illness or any discomfort
