We require a super experienced groom with a positive and enthusiastic outlook to manage our private yard of 30 horses with the help of 2 other full time grooms and several part- time staff. Must be a clear communicator and friendly individual overseeing other staff activities and the farrier and vet visits. The owner lives on site and is an active 'director of operations' but works in London during the week. This is a 5 day week job and will include a Sunday with 2 continuous days off (Fri/Sat). 3.5T horsebox driving experience required. We require a competent rider capable also of basic schooling and hacking a number of the 20 dressage and showjumping horses that are in work. The others are former broodmares and retired horses who live out. A professional rider jumps at home during the week and competes the show jumpers. The top dressage horses are professionally schooled at home. The working horses (and the 'fieldies') are all well behaved, live out in the fields overnight and come in during the day so there is good structure and routine to the yard and we have very happy horses. The farm is in an AONB in the rolling Surrey Hills and is beautifully maintained by a separate team.

Suitable candidate must have a positive outlook in managing other staff and horses and must be able to ride to a decent level - and deal with all other aspects of yard management.
