If you don't mind working hard, but enjoy having fun with a vibrant team, we have the job for you. We are looking for another person to join our team. We are looking for someone to join us as a groom who is also happy to help with maintenance jobs that need doing. You will work with a small friendly team with a great atmosphere with laughter and good jokes. In return, we need someone reliable, hard working and prepared to be flexible in their work to ensure we can make life work for all our staff. We do understand you need time for a life too! We are an event yard with a range of horses from competing at Badminton / Burghley to young horses with others aiming at Blenheim, Le Lion and more in the autumn. I have just been selected for U25 World Championships so this is a very exciting time to join our team. We also have a livery yard with a range of clients, all ages and stages, but who all get on well and are very supportive of eachother. We are very proud of the atmosphere on the yard so having someone who continues this is vital. We have a riding school and whilst we have a lovely lady primarily responsible for the RS horses and several part time coaches, there is some overlap to cover staffing and so we also need to help get some of these horses and ponies ready for lessons and ensure their welfare at times. The job can primarily be groom helping prep horses for events, fittening work and general yard duties or aimed at someone wanting to work on the yard and help with field maintenance and repairs. The job is 5 days per week (ocassionally 5.5 days to cover other staff on holiday but very rare) and includes general yard duties. You need to be dedicated and demonstrate good communication skills & have a happy outlook on life to fit in with our lovely team. Please email tombirdeventer@gmail.com or ring Tom 07951801861 or Fran 07535 465687 We look forward to hearing from you

We now have 3 separately staffed yards: Event Yard with Tom Bird: I am a young event rider who has ridden to 5* completing Burghley as the youngest competitor in 2023 and was 2nd at Bramham in the U25's. I have event horses ranging from youngsters being backed through to 5* Level with horses being aimed at Badminton, Bramham and Burghley including Sept 2024. Although I am younger I have grown up helping clients and would like to think that if you asked my staff or clients, they would say that I had excellent people skills The Livery Yard has adults with RC horses, younger children learning to compete and taking part in pony club, but we now have a lot of children with ponies working towards Pony Trials who need help and support both schooling their horses and at competitions. All are lovely - we are very lucky! The Riding School is very friendly encouraging clients to be involved in care of the horses rather than just arriving to ride. Many learn to compete on our school horses
