An exciting opportunity for an experienced horse person who is looking to progress their career in the equine industry. We have an opening for a SENIOR GROOM at Druids Lodge Polo Club. We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard working person with a passion for horses, who is keen to learn and would like to be part of a friendly and buzzing family run club.

There are around 100 horses on the property, both in and out of work, including school ponies, professional ponies, youngstock, broodmares and liveries.

The senior groom would assist the Druids management team with overseeing the wellbeing of all horses on the place, and helping to ensure the yard runs efficiently. We are looking for someone with a good knowledge of horse care, who works tidily and is cheerful and positive.

Grooms at Druids Lodge work five days a week, with Monday and one other day off. There is an occasional requirement to work six days. Each groom looks after around 6 ponies as their chief responsibility, and then shares all other duties. All abilities can be catered for as we have a selection of very lovely beginner ponies, all the way up to professional playing ponies.

This job can be moulded to suit the right individual. Having the right person on the team is the most important thing to us, and the responsibilities can then be focussed on your areas of interest and of strength. I.e. if you are a strong rider, good with people, enjoy being very tidy and organised, etc, we can play to your strengths!

There is lots of riding available year round as well as some travel opportunities.

We cannot accept candidates who require a visa.

Shared accommodation provided with own bedroom and shared facilities. Heating, electricity, etc included. Potential for individual accommodation at a later date.
