As a Stable Technician for Casini Cavalli, you will feed, water, and clean the housing of our valuable horses with your reliable efforts. You will maintain clean, sanitized, and organized stalls, feed areas, and barn environments in a professional manner, ensuring our horses receive the highest standard of daily care. The health, condition, and well-being of our horses, along with the cleanliness and presentation of our facility, are a direct reflection of your work and dedication to our mission and values. Saturday-Wednesday, 7am-4pm, One Hour Lunch

-Reliably maintains regular and punctual attendance -Must be able to know the difference between similar looking hay -Safely operates UTVs, tractors, and other authorized equipment to transport feed, bedding, manure and supplies -Feeds horses hay and load hay nets, hay balls, or slow feeders -Prepares grain under the guidance of the Barn Manager and delivers to appropriate horses -Cleans and fills automatic & non-automatic water troughs and waterers -Monitors horse feed intake and condition and adjusts accordingly -Keeps the grain room and supplement containers clean and tidy -Tracks inventory and reports needed supplies to Barn Manager -Drives UTV to haul dirty bedding and manure to manure pile -Cleans and rebeds stalls using pellets, and cleans pastures and turnouts -Bags all trash and placing in appropriate area -Cleans the wash rack drain -Washes/sanitizes buckets, grooming tools, hay balls, tack boxes and other items as necessary or as assigned -Manages fly control paper -Ensures clean, presentable areas at all times -Reports any emergencies or needed maintenance to appropriate supervisor -Communicates and engages with others in a professional manner -Maintains flexibility in changing conditions while having a positive attitude

Requirements

THIS IS A PHYSICALLY DEMANDING JOB -Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift bales of hay and sacks of grain -Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist and lift for hours at a time regularly -Lift heavy objects of 50 lbs on a regular basis -Lift and/or maneuver heavy hay bales of 120 lbs on a regular basis -Perform repetitive movements daily -Ability to reach approximately 6 feet overhead -Minimum 3 years experience employed in similar duties at a professional breeding, training, or show stable -Minimum 1 year stallion, foal, broodmare and weanling experience OR EXTENSIVE professional horse experience with demonstrated sound judgment -Minimum 2 years tractor driving experience -Minimum 1 year stall cleaning experience; experience with pellet bedding a plus -Excellent communication skills -Excellent attention to detail and observation skills -Proficient in following directions by listening and reading -Must enjoy working effectively in a team environment -This is an outdoor position and requires working in all weather conditions. Environment is dusty, muddy, and contains typical hazards associated with a horse breeding facility.
