Start Date: April 15 (flexible) Full-time role, approximately 40–45 hours per week Schedule Mondays: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (mandatory) Additional weekday hours supporting children’s activities Two days off per week Occasional weekends required for horse shows (weekday off provided) Horse show days paid additionally Barn Responsibilities (Mondays) Feeding (AM/PM), turnout, and bringing horses in Grooming and basic care Maintaining a clean, organized barn General oversight while covering groom’s day off On other days, the full-time groom manages primary care; candidate supports overall organization. Pony Schooling & Lessons Schooling ponies (walk/trot/canter) for children Assisting with basic lessons for family and occasional riders Preparing ponies and tack Children’s Support School pickups and transportation to activities Afternoon care and supervision Horse Shows Assist with pony care and general support during shows Trainer manages competition prep Requirements Experience with ponies and children Confident riding and schooling ability Small enough to ride ponies safely Clean driving record Organized, reliable, family-oriented Groom or assistant trainer background preferred Compensation $50k–$60k annually (based on experience) Additional pay for horse show days Housing may be available
