Are you passionate about horses, especially in the dressage discipline? We own a serene, private equestrian facility featuring exceptional indoor and outdoor arenas, spacious grass paddocks, and several dry lots, all with shelters. Our fully enclosed, heated center aisle barn is located west of Minneapolis.

We are seeking an experienced, responsible, and reliable Barn Manager to join our dedicated team.

The ideal candidate brings a solid working knowledge of basic medical care and behavioral management. Leadership ability, strong initiative, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. We're looking for someone organized, with excellent time management and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that the horses are treated with respect
• Provide leadership and direction while working alongside the barn staff
• Report to Director of Operations/Supervise Property Manager
• Monitor facility conditions and communicate issues proactively
• Groom indoor/outdoor arenas
• Assist with vet/farrier appointments
• Prepare and administer grain, supplements, feed, and water
• Clean stalls and turn horses in/out
• Oversee barn laundry and facility cleanliness
• Perform basic first aid and administer medication when needed
• Wrap horses and apply bandages properly
• Operate Theraplate
• Manage blanketing routines
• Ru errands as needed
• • Meet with vendors when needed, providing them with necessary details
• • Oversee timely completion of vendor projects, ensuring that work is done properly with the highest of standards

Required Experience/Qualifications

• 7+ years of practical experience with dressage horses
• Strong leadership/communication skills
• Proven experience feeding/administering hay, grain, supplements, and medications
• Familiarity with equine first aid, preventative care, and identifying stall behaviors

Schedule 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM - 5 days per week, to include one weekend day

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

• Tack/untack horses for lessons • Ability to drive 2- and 4-horse trailers • Skilled in grooming, wrapping and administering oral & injectable medications
