Our Equestrian Staff are camp counselors who teach our Horseback Riding classes and help manage our stables. To apply, you should have previous experience with appropriately managing the care of horses. We will also prioritize applicants with experience teaching riding. Applicants with an exceptional amount of experience may be considered for leadership roles with additional responsibilities and compensation.

Camp Birch Hill is a classic New England summer camp. We are an all-gender camp for ages 6-16 at the foot of New Hampshire's White Mountains. With a focus on fun, our elective program lets campers choose from over 50 activities to create their own personalized schedule. The camp itself is nestled into the woods against a pond with 2,000ft of waterfront and a private sandy beach. In addition to our stables, we have a high ropes course, an arts and crafts pavilion, a theater program, sports fields, tennis courts, water sports, and much more.

When not working at the stables, Equestrian Staff get the full camp counselor experience. You will spend the summer sleeping in a cabin, enjoying evenings around a campfire, traveling around New England with co-workers on days off, and building close, lasting connections within our small community.

All applicants must be at least 18 years old and be available for the entire season: June 20th - August 9th, 2026. Housing and meals are provided for the duration of employment.

• Ready to live in a cabin with another counselor and 6-10 campers.
• Previous experience with appropriately managing the care of horses.
• Ideally previous experience teaching riding.

Cabins at Birch Hill have full bathrooms, electricity and are super cozy! You will be sharing a cabin with another staff member (your "co-counselor") and an average of 8 campers.
