We are hiring a Stables Manager for Summer 2026. If you are passionate about working with horses and looking for a close community, join us for an unforgettable summer!
Camp Birch Hill is a classic New England summer camp for ages 6-16 at the foot of New Hampshire's White Mountains. With a focus on fun, our elective program lets campers choose from over 50 activities to create their own personalized schedule. The camp itself is nestled into the woods against a pond with 2,000ft of waterfront and a private sandy beach. In addition to our stables, we have a high ropes course, an arts and crafts pavilion, a theater program, sports fields, tennis courts, water sports, and much more.
Our Stables Manager is the primary caretaker of 4 horses throughout the season. This includes feeding, grooming, mucking, equipment maintenance. Stable Managers do not need to have experience teaching children, but should be friendly and willing to work closely with kids who are interested in learning or helping out.
When not working at the stables, you get the full camp experience. You will spend every day working outside, enjoying evenings around a campfire, taking a dip in the pond during time off, and building close, lasting connections within our small community. For the right person (based on age, experience, etc.) we will occasionally consider combining the Horseback Riding Director position with the Stable Manager position.
