Blue Star Ranch, a premier high-end equestrian estate, is seeking an Assistant Ranch Manager to join our dedicated team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in maintaining the pristine condition of our facilities and ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare and client satisfaction. As Assistant Ranch Manager, you'll work closely with our Ranch Manager, stepping in to lead operations in her absence. If you possess a strong background in horse care, stable management, and general ranch operations, and have a natural talent for providing exceptional service, we want to hear from you! What You'll Do: Lead Equestrian Operations: Oversee daily horse care, including feeding, grooming, and medication, ensuring adherence to strict protocols for cleanliness and safety. You'll manage stable staff, coordinate farrier and vet appointments, and maintain meticulous records. Maintain Our Pristine Estate: Assist with the upkeep of all equestrian facilities – barns, arenas, paddocks, and trails. You'll manage inventory, operate equipment, and ensure the overall aesthetic appeal of the ranch. Drive Team Success: Supervise and train junior staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. You'll assist with scheduling and delegating tasks effectively, providing crucial support to the Ranch Manager. Ensure Safety & Compliance: Implement and enforce robust safety protocols for staff, horses, and visitors, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Deliver Exceptional Hospitality: Play a key role in ranch events, preparing horses, barns, and staff to execute memorable experiences. You'll assist with guest reception, meal service, and ensure all hospitality needs are met for our owners and guests. Your participation in demonstrations will be an exciting part of this role!

What You Bring: Proven supervisory skills and the ability to lead by example. A valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record, and the ability to drive towing vehicles and trailers. Extensive knowledge of horse care, nutrition, health, and behavior across various disciplines. Strong understanding of ranch operations, including equipment maintenance and facility upkeep. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work both idependently and collaboratively in a demanding environment. A background in the restaurant or hospitality industry is a significant plus! Ability for physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs., and basic First Aid knowledge. Integrity, trustworthiness, and a commitment to serving as a role model for all staff. A proactive approach to safety and excellent customer service skills.

Our on-site housing consists of a 3 bedroom, 31/2 bath condo that is not shared with any other employees.
