Private family horse farm in northeastern Pennsylvania seeks a dependable, experienced person for daily horse care and barn work.

Our immediate need is approximately three hours of morning chores each day, including feeding and turnout; cleaning seven stalls and turnout areas; filling hay feeders, water buckets and troughs; preparing evening feed; emptying manure buckets; and keeping the barn clean and orderly. Applicants interested only in consistent part-time morning work are welcome.

For the right person, this could expand into a larger position encompassing complete morning and evening barn coverage, coordination with veterinarians and farriers, and general farm and estate maintenance. Property responsibilities could include mowing, weed trimming, landscaping, clearing brush and trails, maintaining fencing, snow removal, operating tractors and mowers, and handling routine repairs.

Housing may be available as part of the compensation package for an exceptional individual able to assume substantial, ongoing responsibility for the barn and property.

We would also consider an experienced couple seeking a long-term position. One person could primarily manage horse care, barn operations and property maintenance, while the other provides household support, including housekeeping, laundry and organization. Duties, hours, compensation and housing would be structured according to experience and responsibilities.

This is a private family farm, not a lesson or competition barn, and no riding component is promised. We are seeking someone mature, trustworthy and consistent who takes pride in caring for animals and maintaining a beautiful property.

Please state whether you are applying for the part-time morning position, expanded individual position or couple’s position. Include your location, availability, relevant experience, recent employment history, references, and any people or animals requiring accommodation.
