Performance Equine Vets is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to join our equine hospital team in Aiken, South Carolina.

This role focuses on inducing, monitoring, and recovering horses under general anesthesia for elective and emergency surgeries, while also supporting hospitalized patient care in a busy referral hospital.

What you'll do • Induce, monitor, and recover horses undergoing general anesthesia for elective and emergent surgeries • Monitor anesthetized patients using hospital equipment and anesthesia protocols • Assist veterinarians and surgical staff during procedures • Prepare patients for elective and emergency procedures • Assist with care and monitoring of hospitalized equine patients • Administer treatments and medications as directed by veterinarians • Monitor patient condition and promptly report concerns • Assist with emergency admissions and critical care cases • Maintain accurate medical records and treatment sheets • Keep hospital, treatment, and anesthesia areas clean, organized, and stocked

Who we're looking for • Previous clinical veterinary experience required • Equine handling experience required • Anesthesia monitoring experience preferred; training available for the right candidate with a strong clinical background • Calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and a strong teammate

Schedule • Full-time, approximately 36–40 hours/week • Hospital-based; shared emergency/on-call as needed for the hospital team

Pay: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour, based on experience
