Full-Time Riding Groom/Barn Manager – Franklin, Tennessee
Private show jumping farm in Franklin, Tennessee is currently seeking a full-time Riding Groom/Barn Manager to join our team.
This is a 6-day-a-week position (Mondays off), involving both riding/exercising (flatwork and some jumping) and managing the care of our horses. We currently have 11 horses on-site, including:
- 5 boarding horses
- 4 personal jumpers (ranging from green to seasoned, jumping 1.20M–1.40M)
- 2 retired horses
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Riding, grooming, and maintaining our personal show horses
- Managing veterinary and farrier appointments for the entire barn
- Ordering feed, hay, shavings, straw, supplements, and other supplies
- Packing and preparing for horse shows
- Assisting with night checks as needed
- Attending shows and assisting with horse preparation for competition
You’ll be working alongside a full-time staff member who has been with us for 20 years. He handles stall cleaning and general barn maintenance Monday through Saturday. On Sundays, you will need to either arrange additional help or handle the stalls yourself, depending on the show schedule and time of year.
Show Schedule: We travel and compete throughout the year, including at venues such as Wellington, Lexington, Lake Placid, Upperville, the Hamptons, and various local shows.

Housing: On-site apartment housing is provided as part of the position.

We have a 12 stall barn on a large farm in Franklin TN. We have have several jumpers, a few retired horses, some off-track Thoroughbreds we find homes for throughout the year, and a pony. We are a private show barn that shows locally and at away shows throughout the year.
