I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.

Riding, grooming, plaiting, studding, equine first aid, bandaging, stable management, feeding, medications, mucking, turn in/out, blanketing, lunging, jump/course setting, show set up/takedown, clipping, staff and client scheduling, inventory/ orders
I have been a professional groom for five years and have groomed to FEI level, having recently moved into the coaching, riding, and management area of the business. Most recently, I was Alicia Gadban's barn manager and assistant trainer, where I worked closely with Alicia and the team to ensure the highest standards were kept and her clients needs were consistently met. As assistant trainer, I was responsible for providing coaching to numerous people of varying levels and experience. From walk/trot all the way to the big eq and CET, as well as coaching up to 1.10m in the jumper ring. I consistently rode 7-12 client horses a day, keeping a keen attention to detail during those rides to ensure a fun and tuned up ride for the owner's next time out. As barn manager I oversaw a team of 12 people, created both staff and arena schedules, scheduled maintenance, kept track of inventory and orders, liaised with vets and farriers, communicated with owners to ensure they remained informed.
experience leading a team and managing large competitive stable (65 horse facility) groomed to fei level turn out to high standard quick and efficient at mucking/ facility upkeep keen attention to detail experience with stallions and young horses riding at 1.15m-1.20m level and eager to continue progressing training beginner-intermediate riders (w/t/c - CET/EQ -1.10m/3'6) drivers license and experience driving a truck happy, hardworking, attitude.
Riding experience primarily in the hunter/jumper disciplines, but have dabbled in cross country a bit. Experience riding young and green horses, stallions. Strong understanding of foundational flatwork and how to apply it when jumping. I'm keen to continue riding and progressing in the hunter/jumper disciplines, hopefully up to the 1.30m/1.35m level in the next couple of years.
I have personally competed to 1.15m and have groomed at shows to FEI level and cared for multiple 1.60m horses at multiple shows.
