Equine Work Experience
For the past 20 years I have taught in a variety of BHS approved yards on both a full time and part time basis. During this period I was responsible for delivering group and private mounted sessions, schooling horses and ponies, training for exams, yard work and supervising volunteers and staff. I delivered private tuition from beginners to clients competing in affiliated competitions and schooled a diverse range of horses. I was previously a Tutor in a specialist equine College and have delivered equine studies in mainstream College.
I have continued to teach mounted and practical equestrian skills until the present, providing group and private lessons, training for exams and schooling. My experience has covered many years and involved teaching staff, volunteers, children, adults, competitive riders and students.
Specialities
I have extensive experience teaching students, children, adults and disabled and will always try & adapt my teaching style to meet the physiological and cognitive needs of both horse and rider. I have spent many years schooling young and problem horses from unaffiliated to affiliated level and competed in Novice Horse Trials, BSJA and Dressage competitions. I have high standards of equine and customer care and provide an enthusiastic and professional approach.
