I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
currently working in RDA but wanting to break into the eventing industry. hard working, empathetic and handy with a tool.pretty brave rider always wanting to progress as far as possible, can be flexible with hours/days working.
I am currently studying Equine Management Level 3 at Shuttleworth College.
Equine management Level 3 Day to day yard work learning about everything from travelling, loading, vaccinations, competition world and much much more.
Worked with Horses since the age of 12. I have worked in Riding schools, on Livery yards and also an event yard. I have worked with horses ranging in ages and temperaments and would say i’m a confident individual. Over my time working with horses i’ve learnt the importance of industry standard such as time keeping and work ethic. I am confident that i have a lot of knowledge considering my age and always safe and sensible. Previous yard work for me was catching in, turning out, feeding, grooming, tacking up, untacking, filling haynets, mucking out etc… so structure and routine has always been key for me!
I have worked on yards where i’ve had to work by myself and get the horses done so being efficient i would say is a strong suit of mine.
I always aim to time manage really well and keeping a clean yard is always a priority for me.
For nearly 5 years now. When i first started riding i began at a riding school where i learnt to walk trot canter and jump. Since then i began riding people’s horses for them privately, schooling hacking and jumping some. I have ridden horses with all sorts of temperaments and would say i’m a quiet rider with a soft hand. Ridden horses that buck and rear so have never been fazed by a more enthusiastic horse. I haven't had much experience with younger ridden horses. Never hunted.
When it comes to competitions i have groomed for people and their horses working alongside them helping prepare for shows.
