Duties of Current Occupation

at my last job, I was stand in for head girl temporarily while she was away, which included running the team and organising horses to be ready for lessons, shows etc.

Equine Work Experience
  • recently worked and lived at a reputable livery yard for 9 months.
  • worked in a riding stable at weekends for 18 months (age 13-14)
  • worked ad-hoc/freelance in many positions (rider/young horse backer/pony rides leader/horse sitting etc.)
  • ridden for over 14 years, owned/loaned for 12.
  • always had responsibility for my own ponies.
  • helper at mini/junior pony club camps and events for several years
  • work experience at a dressage yard in July 2022 with Caroline Hunt (CHD Equestrian)
  • assisting a family friend in the last few years with bringing on a youngster to be a future eventer/showjumper
  • competition and show experience (as a rider) from ages ~7 to 16, stopped due to lack of time with education and outgrowing my current pony.
Specialities
  • worked with youngsters/newly backed
  • temporarily lead a team while head girl was away/off work.
  • experience as part of a riding stable team for 18 months, some leadership qualities used
  • able to turn out to a medium to high standard, happy with dirty/muddy work.
  • quick at mucking out, and thorough cleaner

Type of Ride Work
  • ridden horses that required more patience and understanding, young horses, newly-backed horses etc. - and am very happy and confident riding them!
  • flat work, jumping, cross country, some dressage, not done but happy to start with hunting/racing etc.
  • lots of experience with starting horses/ponies, worked ad-hoc/freelance backing/exercising for several years for friends and others.
  • rehabilitated my own pony from serious suspensory injury to pre-injury fitness.

  • qualified for NSEA Hickstead at 70/75cm in 2018 (unable to compete due to pony injury weekend before)
