I have completed my NVQ level 2 and 3 in horse care from 2011 to 2013. During my time completing my NVQ's I did usual basic yard duties.
I also learned to clip, bandage, plait, etc. Though I would need to touch up these skills I am a quick learner and will relearn easily. I improved my skills, both ridden and from the ground when I would exercise the horses through lunging and ridden exercise on a daily basis.

At my current role as a hygienist, i clean to a high standard at a food storage facility. I clean assigned areas of toilet and canteen facilities multiple times a day. I also clean many offices every day working on an efficient self made schedule.

My most recent equine experience comes from working at a riding school during 2011-2012 where I did all the usual yard duties, including mucking out, poo picking, turn out/in, grooming, tacking up, feeding, and trailer loading when traveling offsite. I assisted during lead rein and standard riding lessons. I had the opportunity to work with many horses during my time there, green horses, problem horses, young horses, and a couple of foals. I've worked with many breeds of horse and pony from shetlands to Welsh ponies, and arabians to Dutch warmbloods. I find once I am settled within a role and know my jobs there's not a lot I'm not willing to take on. I enjoy learning and taking on new challenges. I study horse training and behaviour in my free time, and enjoy studying horse genetics too! My first experiences and my love for horses originated from my time as a child where I would weekend volunteer at my local riding school, completing yard duties in exchange for riding lessons.

I've ridden a variety of horses, including riding school horses, green horses, ottb's, and problem horses. I've done standard flatwork schooling, and have done jumping up to 3ft, though I'm eager to expand my experience in both flatwork and jumping.
