Due to my family owning and running a small livery yard business I have become orientated with horses and been riding since the age of two, I can turn horses out to a high standard. I competed at British show jumping where I competed at 90cm/1m level winning at Scottish Horse of the year show. Also successfully competed at British Eventing 90 and trained over BE 100 and novice fences. I then competed at Blair Athol Hunter trials where I qualified for the working hunter jumping up to 1.05/1.10. I have also represented Angus Pony Club at Interbranch in the novice show jumping and eventing on many occasions.
I am an enthusiastic and forward thinking person who is an independent worker but I can also work in a team to take on roles and responsibilities. As an individual I am determined and ambitious. I am use to organising myself for competitions and have had many trips down South and too many different places where I’ve stayed away from home for multiple days in a lorry. I am able to attend to the needs of these horses staying away from home and turning horses out for competitions.
I am currently employed on a part time basis at Muirlands Farm on my family ran livery yard after school and at weekends/holiday cover, my duties include; turning out, mucking out, feeding and riding of the livery’s horses. I work close with the owners and establish their needs which gives me a good involvement in the yard. I have gained lots of experience with the handling and riding of different horses. I am always very reliable and finish jobs to a high standard.
2014: Royal Windsor Horse Show and the Curragh international, I was individually selected to be part of the Scottish mounted games team, after I completed a trial under the supervision of selectors.
