BHS Stage 1 Stage 2 & ride and road safety are in working progress Level 3 Diploma
BHS Stage 1
Exercising, mucking out, turning out/bringing in... general yard duties
I started riding at the age of 7 and a couple of weeks later I began helping out on the riding school for a few years gaining basic knowledge. I then went to working on the polo yard when I was 13 which I throughly enjoyed and continued this role until I was 17. This was at Epsom Polo Club. I then worked 6 weeks with young children at Orchard Cottage Riding Stables helping running pony days. This summer, aswell as helping a friend run their livery yard at Gasstons Livery, I worked for the Grand Prix and International showjumper Steven Franks. I love working with these horses as it means I never stop learning. I have completed a year at Sparsholt College on a Level 3 Extended Diploma Equine course which I enjoyed however I now would like to get out there and work.
I would consider myself a hard working 18 year old willing to learn. I Have a variation of equine knowledge as I have worked at many different places since I were young.
I have had fairly young horses since I got my first who is now 6. She was not well school at all and couldnt do a lot when i bought her. This meant I was a bit held back with competing. I have competed unaffiliated shows at 1m on a newer horse of mine.
