As a groom I have to turn out and bring in, muck out, groom, feed etc., ride, as well as the general maintenance of the yard. As a waitress at high profile events I have to provide a top class experience and interact with clients.
I have been around horses since I was six years old and then had weekly riding lessons until I was 14. In this time I also volunteered at one of the riding schools where I was responsible for certain horses, making sure they were mucked out etc. and were ready for the lessons they were going to be used in. After this, I moved on to sharing horses which I have been doing up until this date. This means I hold more responsibility for the well being of the horse and has also widened my knowledge on the needs of a horse and how to handle challenging situations. I also do cover shifts at a livery yard where I am responsible for mucking out, feeding etc., and handling a variety of different horses.
I am a very capable rider who can confidently walk, trot, canter, gallop and jump. I have previously competed in dressage, show jumping, cross country and showing where I have been successful. I have ridden a variety of different horses, from laid back cobs to ex-racehorses.
