I began riding at the age of 5 where I then had riding lessons until the age of 11 which is the age I began sharing horses. From this age onwards I have shared a variation of horses with their owners, along as excercing various horses, from naughty ponies, youngsters, dressage Irish Sports horses to the horse I currently share, a 16.2 Welsh Section D. From this I am confident on foot and on horse, whether it be a spooky youngster or a gentle giant.
During this time I have gained a wide knowledge and experience about horses, from general yard duties, to horse feeding, grooming, etc which I am very competent with.
Although I lack some skills such as clipping or bandaging, I am eager to learn. I have just finished working for several months at a busy eventing yard.
Over the years I have gained various experience within the equine industry. During the time of sharing the horses I took many of them to various shows, mostly doing showing and show jumping. I also got the chance to try driving and became a backstepper for a lady I knew after getting to know her through excercising her horses. I've volunteered at horse shows dealing with the general public and admissions. I am confident in all groundwork such as tacking up, grooming, handling, leading, etc
