Level 3 Horse Management- Distinction
Studying BA (hons) International Horseracing Business at Hartpury University from September 2018
I have been training and boarding at a profesional eventing/jumper barn for the past 5 years and have extensive experience with training and managing horses of all ages and abilities including competition preparation and sole charge of the barn whilst the barn owner is away at competitions.
I have experience working with stallions, broodmares and young horses as well as re-training off-track thoroughbreds and riding hunters with the Beaufort Hunt.
I also have considerable experience teaching children riding and horse care and this is something I would love to pursue further, however I do not have any formal teaching qualifications.
Whilst I have extensive experience riding and managing eventing and jumping horses, my affinity has always been for thoroughbred racing and bloodstock, particularly the international aspects of the sport. Despite having little background in it, from a remarkably young age I have extensively followed and researched European, American, Australian and UAE racing of past and present.
