BSc (Hons) Second Class Honours Upper Division in BSc (Hons) Equine Sports Coaching
I have previous experience in the equestrian business and worked on the yard at Bishop Burton College, my role in the position included yard duties, as well as exercising horses and supervising FE students on the yard. In addition to being employed as a member of the yard staff I also completed my three-year degree at Bishop Burton College, gaining experience and knowledge both in the practical and theoretical aspects of the equestrian industry. As part of my course, riding assessments and exams were included, to ensure that our level of riding was balanced, independent and secure, these assessments were carried out both on the flat and over a course of jumps. Whilst at the college I also volunteered often to help prepare both the facilities and horses for upcoming stage exams and other events, this entailed that all horse be plaited and presented immaculately and preparing courses of show jumps both in the main ring and warm up ring.
