I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
currently working in RDA but wanting to break into the eventing industry. hard working, empathetic and handy with a tool.pretty brave rider always wanting to progress as far as possible, can be flexible with hours/days working.
Currently, I am studying equine business at the Aeres Hogeschool Dronten in the Netherlands. This includes subjects such as training horses and care or planning events and necessities related to running a barn/company.
I gained experience working around horses and farm work. But I am also no stranger to optimising the processes in professional stables and companies (which includes feeding-companies, grooming supplies companies and networking with professionals).
During different occasions, I got to work with some professionals and to network with people from around the globe which allowed me to get into more activities than just training and riding horses.
I trained my own horse from youngster up to german level L Dressage (Elementary) and A (Novice) showjumping. I also trained him stunts and got him to be an more than trustworthy hunting horse. As I am experienced in taking care of many different horses, stallions, youngsters and difficult horses are no new to me. I am comfortable training and riding in outdoor arenas as well as hacking out. Moreover, I was able to gather experience in training children and adolescents. Additionally, I would like to work in an english/dutch speaking environment.
I would like to be part of a friendly equestrian team. I studied agriculture in Germany and at the moment I am based in the Netherlands studying equine business. Through my studies, I am now fluent in three languages: German, English and Dutch. I enjoy working in a team and are not afraid of challenges as I have good problem-solving skills.
I do have a driving licence. And even so, I don't have a truck driving licence I am willing to get one.
I am mostly used to ride English dressage on a good A-L level and showjumping on a lower level. But I would like to improve my skills. I have also had a few polo/western/horsemanship and working equitation lessons.
I have never taken part in a competition. But I would like to.
Furthermore: Just completed a summer internship at 'Botanica International Ltd' (based in Ireland), which included trips to CHIO Achen, Hickstead and Longines global champians tour London.
