Due to a change in circumstances I'm currently looking for a part time riding role, 4 mornings a week, but can be flexible. I have over 16 years experience within the industry and have produced horses from youngstock up to intermediate. I'm happy to work with all sorts, from happy hackers to fit competition horses. Quiet but firm rider, who can deal with quirks if necessary. Ideally within 30 mins of Newark but happy to travel up to an hour for the right place.
From Showjumping, to showing/eventing and foals through to stallions I have experience in all aspects of the equestrian world. I am looking for my next long term journey where I can spend my days working with the animals I love, and carry out my exceptionally high standards for the right person.
Level 2 & 3 Technical Equine diploma in equine management. (Lots of work experience!)
I have worked many of places and have worked up to high standards. My duties are to keep track of many horses and their care- I have worked with many types of horses and people, from the most confident to entirely nervous.
I’ve been in equine my whole life, with my own horses and other people’s. Because I am young, I am often overlooked, but I know that I am a team member that should not be passed up upon.
I have worked on some competition yards, including that of professional livery’s and multiple other environments.
I have spent almost 3 years also attending an equine college, where I have adapted my skills- yet have felt like I wanted more, wanting to go out into the equine industry to get some experience under my belt. I have worked in multiple professional environments, some work experience, other times it was volunteer work. I have tried to work in a large range of different places so I could see everything I could. I was a volunteer for the RDA for many of years.
I have worked on stud yards, competition yards and riding schools, rescues and racing yards, handling a range of different horses. This means I’ve worked with broodmares, stallions and foals, with confidence and the ability to keep myself and others safe.
I am a great team player, and a good team leader. I enjoy bringing people together and having fun whilst I learn.
I am able to turn out to an extremely high standard, my mucking out is quick, tidy and precise.
I have ridden all types of horses, and have recently gotten my own youngster, who is a 3 year old OTTB. Meaning he is very green and can get excited when in work. I am a calm and quiet rider, though I can also be firm! As I was also in the RDA, I was able to ride many of the new horses to make sure that they were suitable, or schooling them until they were. I have experience in starting horses- I have started 3 of my own.
I have set up and held a showjumping competition- and I have good knowledge of showing- (In hand and ridden) I am a part of helping a few local shows being ran, and have steward for them on the occasion! I enjoy the shows, and have been through grooming exams. Full grooms, plaiting- I rather enjoy it!
