Besides owning and competing my own horse, I have ridden and brought on youngsters for a horse dealer, jumping in national amateur competitions, schooling and backing. I worked, during this summer, at the Billy Stud as a groom, where my duties included: Mucking out, grooming, feeding, turning out, hacking the horses, preparing the horses for competitions, competition grooming for both local and international shows, plaiting, bandaging and tacking up. I have previously worked as a casual groom on a private equine yard doing all normal yard duties plus treating minor injuries and field maintenance.
I have experience of backing and schooling youngsters, and bringing on already backed horses to jump at national level amateur competitions. I have jumped horses in team and individual events at national amateur level. I have hacked competition horses for the Billy Stud.
