Predominently customer facing where I manage and complete vehicle rentals, including promoting the brand and selling various products. Personal development and training of others and increasing business through positive coporate customer relations.
My degree required a 4-week industry placement and I sought mine at Twemlows Stud farm. This allowed me to increase my knowledge of how the breeding management and how the business is growing within the industry. I had increased exposure to broodmares, foals and youngstock and undertook general yard and taking individuals to the stocks for examinations and treatments. I have worked at a family livery yard and executed general yard duties, land management and equine care. During this time I helped care for horses that were malnourished and needing rehabilitation. For example, successfully hand rearing a foal from 6 weeks old. I have experience breaking, schooling and re-schooling and like to ensure a forward and natural way of going. My own horse is an ex-racehorse that I have re-schooled and trained at home up to elementary dressage.
I have a keen interest in Equine Nutrition after completing modules at University in advances in equine nutrition and my dissertation that was tittles "The efficacy of probiotic supplementation under differing acidic conditions". I have been fascinated by the progress of those following suitable feeding regimes and even cared for and improved a laminitic Shetland mare's quality of life through correct nutrition.
Dressage, flat work schooling, re-schooling (problem, ex-racehorse, rehabilitation), breaking.
I have competed in a few local shows and unaffiliated dressage competitions up to elementary. I have attended a few BYRDS training sessions and Pony Club rallies and camp. I competed and came 3rd in the Welsh Pony and Cob Society’s Young Judge Competition at 16
