I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
currently working in RDA but wanting to break into the eventing industry. hard working, empathetic and handy with a tool.pretty brave rider always wanting to progress as far as possible, can be flexible with hours/days working.
C+ Pony Club test.
I am a 14 year old girl (don’t let my age put you off, I’m very hard working and mature) looking for a weekend job to fund my World Challenge. I don’t mind doing anything, whether it is poo picking, turning out or riding. Can ride ponies or horses.
I have been riding all my life, and been around horses even longer! My mum is a groom so I have experience around polo ponies, hunters etc. From around the age of 10, I volunteered at my local riding stable every Sunday. I would go for my lesson at 9am and leave at 4:30. During my day I would tack up ponies needed for lessons, groom them, muck out, poo pick, clean out water troughs, turn out, lead beginner riders during their lessons and teach them how to sit properly, hold reins correctly etc. I have never owned my own horse because of financial circumstances, but I have loaned several, from buckers to strong rides. I am a confident havker and know my way around the Bellingdon/Chesham/Tring local area, I am confident schooling any kind of horse and jumping and cross country is my favourite thing to do. I passed my C+ Pony Club efficiency test first time (both stable management and riding).
I can pull manes and tails. I can also plait manes (however not tails!). I can trim a horse (but not clip.) I am a confident rider, however riding isn’t necessary. I can do all of the general yard duties and am confident handling all kinds of horses (young, competition, quirky etc).
I can do anything needed done. Whether that’s hacking, jumping, schooling etc. I have only ever ridden English.
Evented up to 90cm Pony Club and affiliated (was meant to go to area eventing the past 2 years but horse was lame). I showjump at 90cm, but am moving up to 1m. I have done dressage up to prelim unaffiliated (and very successfully), with marks in mid-high 70’s, and was about to move up to novice but lameness issues prevented this. I was also meant to do intermediate at pony club area dressage this year, but unfortunately I didn’t have a horse. I have also done one BE novice test this year.
