I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
currently working in RDA but wanting to break into the eventing industry. hard working, empathetic and handy with a tool.pretty brave rider always wanting to progress as far as possible, can be flexible with hours/days working.
Mucking out, groom, riding, tacking up
I have worked in a riding stables before( roughly around 3 years ) doing treks with adults and children. I’ve taken out hacks before, long and short with and without leading . I have also loaned a horse twice for a period of six months over the winter, having the horse in my full care!
At my previous groom job I learned how to groom horses quickly as we had loads to do, muck out fast and muck out to a high standard. I can tack a horse up quick and lead a few horses at a time.
My ride work has mainly been hacking, and some school work but I am very happy to learn more!
