I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.

I have spent the past 18 months being a working student in North America for two of Canada's top Grand Prix dressage riders and trainers. During this time I have been able to develop a great foundation of dressage training to the point where I'm now ready to go out and compete at Small tour (PSG/I1) ...
Cleaning boxes, ensuring all horses are in good condition and are looking at their best at all times, tacking up, hosing, swimming, handling young horses colts, and stallions. FEI Grooming experience and riding up to small tour level.
I have been fortunate enough to be a part of the equine industry since the age of four, coming from a horsey background with both of my parents being active participants in the equine industry. I grew up on a 55-acre property in Victoria whereby parents bred both racehorses and performance horses. By the age of 10 I was actively involved in the foaling down process and am no stranger to the complications that can happen. I grew up riding in a professional showing stable so I have become accustomed to everything that I do to meet a professional standard. I believe that I would be an asset to any professional stable environment due to my experience, eye for fine details and love of horses, I live and breathe horses they are my passion. I do also hold a drivers licence and own my own car.
... with the right horse and if I was to stay in my current position that would be exactly what I would do, with goals of competing in the CDI Global Dressage festival in the 2019/20 winter season in Wellington Florida. I also have extensive experience riding and bringing along young horses, I really do enjoy being able to work with them from the beginning and being a part of the journey from the start. Certificate 2 in Equine Studies.
