I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
currently working in RDA but wanting to break into the eventing industry. hard working, empathetic and handy with a tool.pretty brave rider always wanting to progress as far as possible, can be flexible with hours/days working.
I have volunteered for 10 years at my local RDA yard. I worked and rode their. I did all yard duties, tacked and untacked, lunged the horses and ponies, lead the horses and ponies, turned out and brought horses and ponies in. I helped produce a 5 year old pony and did all the ridden work with her and her first competitions with her.
I worked at a local riding stables for 10 months, I did all yard duties, tacked and untacked, fed the horses and ponies, hayed the horses and ponies, rode the naughty ponies and helped in the school. I rode a family friends 22 year old cob x for her for a few weeks before he retired. I did everything for him and mainly just hacked him out and cantered him in the school. I worked at 2 racing yards where I did all yard duties, helped swim horses, put youngsters, horses ot of work or recovering from injury and fit race horses on and off the walker, rugged and unrugged.
I have produced a youngster before, I have ridden green and fresh horses, I used to ride the lazy horses and naughty ponies as I could get them going and sit to their craziness, I also jumped the ponies and horses that didn't know how to jump. I have done all flatwork and done 2 dressage tests, I have done 2 showjumping competitions and 2 inhand and ridden shows.
Dressage - Intro C (green 10 year old 13.1hh cob x ) - he was very spooky but we managed to get through the test with just a few spooks to get 65.1% to come 4th out of 12 combinations. Dressage - Prelim 13 (very fresh, spooky 12 year old 15.2hh Welsh Section D) - Wasn't our best test to date as she went super green on me and was just running into canter and not listening so got a disappointing 60% to place 6th. Showjumping - 65cm//70cm (5 year old). 1st out of 12 combinations.
