I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.

I first began working with horses on a voluntary basis which turned into a paid, part time position. Since then I have also worked for a local equine rescue center looking after a variety of horses, ponies and donkeys. This was a voluntary position and stayed for 3 months. This was a non riding position and was charity based.
I then went on to volunteering at First Choice Dressage one day a week, this is in return for hacking out competition horses for exercise as well as gaining more experience on a different yard and environment, and with different horses from a different career. I also have worked in Newmarket at a pre-training yard handling young thoroughbreds.
Currently working 4 days a week on a livery yard/riding school. On my set days I run the yard and work solely on my own and have complete responsibility of the horses. I am also currently studying towards a foundation degree in Equine Science and Welfare at Easton college, and am very keen on learning much more about the stud and veterinary industry. I am not looking for a riding position although I do ride at least once a week.
Currently ride once a week in a lesson and hack out twice a week for my current job. I am not looking for a riding position but am happy to hack if need be. I also lack confidence in riding and am much more confident on the ground, which is why I am continuing with lessons weekly.
I have worked with dressage horses in the past although no plaiting up was required. As I worked on a very busy livery yard I have worked with many competition horses, but not specifically on a competition yard for a great length of time. However, stud work is where I am most interested.
