I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.

Gental yard duties, really! Lots of mucking out, walking across deep muddy fields, making feeds, ordering stock in, sending horses off to events and sales, lots...
I started is a general groom, and farm hand. I was trusted with the day-to-day care of the land (290 aches) and the fencing, waters and out extensive arenas. I then also developed my skill in the running of out 55 stable full livery yard, and quickly became head lad. I introduced several ideas to help improve the day to day runnings, and develop client relations. Unfortunately my employment hear came to an end in May 2018, when the yard was sold off.
Where I am now! Due to currently being bound to a legal document stating non-disclosure of any employment information, I unfortunately have to hold the right to silent and non disclosure or discussion of my current employers and employment. Reading between the lines I can disclose the following. Said employment is Norfolk, where I undertake work for a private yard. At the current employer, I’m responsible for the complete day to day running of the 22 box yard, and the training of new employees.
I, Oliver James Francis, do believe myself to be a equine enthusiast. There is nothing I do with my life, not involving horses in one way or another. I have had the chance to be employed in this industry for only the last five or six years, before that spending my time training in agriculture. Despite my short time in this beautiful industry, I believe I have excelled - learning and developing my skills.
Started riding with racehorses, then got into my favourite sport I have ever seen DRESSAGE! I progressed quite quickly thought BHS training, but suck at exams, so haven’t got anywhere! despite the fact BHS fellow Robert Pickles estimates I’m riding at an exceptional level. I have been told I ride very calmly and quietly, while also having understanding to develop the horses I ride.
Nothing... 😭
