I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
Distinction star in btec horse care
I have worked the equine industry for 6 years. I started off in a riding school where my job role ranged from working on the yard to coordinating children’s holiday activities. When working on the yard, I regularly took the role of yard manager and coordinated a tour of young volunteers. I then progressed onto a livery yard. Working within a team of 5, we had responsibility of 35 horses, ranging from competition horses right the way down to retired ponies. My job role allowed me to experience riding many different types of horses and learning about caring for different breeds. I have a little experience working within the racing community. I briefly worked on a racing yard that was attached to the livery yard. I did not ride out but I am experienced in being around highly strung horses

I have not ridden ‘properly’ for a few months due to moving away for university. I do have experience of hacking out spooky horses and schooling to a certain level. I would not say I’m the best rider but I have a passion for horses and thoroughly enjoy being around them and riding
