Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.

Currently coaching in a riding school part time, along side freelance coaching and grooming, running a private yard and also producing and competing my own and clients horses. I coach a variety clients from pony clubbers to competitive adults
As a groom I have had sole charge roles on yards in the fields of dressage, eventing and polo. Grooming both away and at home. I now work as a freelance groom/rider offering holiday cover to private yards. I have also worked in other areas of the equine industry from saddle fitting and retail to working for the feed company Topspec as feed advisor. This gives me a broad range of knowledge to draw on in my current main role a BHS coach. I have spent much of the last 8 years teaching teens and children in both practical and theory sessions as part of our pony club. Covering all aspects of horse care and riding theory with an aim to achieve pony club tests. I also coach career students looking to take their early BHS exams, in more varied topics covering business or yard management as well as practical sessions and skills. Along side developing their riding skills and knowledge.
I feel i’ve a special affinity for communicating with the public, both adults and children. I’ve loved it since I started working in the equine retail sector when I left university. In retail I won a national customer service award, and was promoted to train and work as a saddle fitter. I’m also very focused on developing my knowledge and skills to allow me to bring best practice to coaching or other work in the industry. Whether that is new scientific research or hard won experience.
