Two horses of my own. One competed up to UA100+, elementary dressage, 110 show jumping. Now retired and a field pet. Second horse is a very green 10 year old, has hunted in Ireland and done some low level dressage and sj. Just back on board after IDSP surgery in April.
I have ridden since I was 4 years old at riding schools, progressed to a horse on loan at 13/14 and working weekends at a riding school followed by a livery yard, I then started working full time with horses at 18 following a 2 year college course.
Since working full time, I have worked on eventing and dressage yards, run a livery yard and private dressage yard. I am currently yard manager on a large competition/livery and riding school. We range from horses about to go 5* all the way down to children having their first lesson. This provides me with a complicated and varied work load often jumping from riding the competition horses straight into teaching complete beginners.
