I'm currently based at a dressage yard in West Sussex. Care of 12 stabled competition horses, 2 mares in foal and 7 youngstock. All yard duties and responsibilities, maintaining equine health and managing farriers/vets/physios.
I was previously a yard manager of a 23 box livery yard with varied horses. My main duties are care of all horses, staff and liveries on the yard. Staff rotas and payments, equine exercise regimes, worming routines, feeding routines, veterinary and farriery care.
I also freelanced on the Isle of Wight. I gained a strong client base and became chief instructor of the IOW pony club for a number of years. This also included organising camps and rally's.
To move on I decided to focus on my instructor training which I passed with high accreditations. Although I am currently only a BHSPI, I would like to look to progressing to my IT, in which all my trainers feel this is easily a level I am currently teaching.
I started my career in a long term role in established livery yard, where I was able to groom internationally for a member of the GB Paralympic squad- this involved preparation duties, caring for fit warmbloods and organisation skills.
I am a bubbly hardworking person who loves her job and thrives under pressure and deadlines- I strive to keep any horse in my care as I would my own and always turn out to exceptional standards.
Schooling/dressage, hacking. However I would prefer a non-riding role.
