I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.

I was a yard manager at my own livery yard taking care of 45 livery horses and 3 staff.
I completed my BSc(Hons) in Equine Management and then went onto running my own livery yard. I ran my own livery yard for the past 7 years in England, where i had 45 horses (at maximum capacity) on livery with 3 full time staff including 2 apprenticeships. We cared for mostly full livery horses but also carried out some backing and had some schooling liveries. I have also bred Arabs as a hobby on the side, owning my own stallion. I am deticated to all horses, making sure they have the highest standard of care. Even though i have been my own boss for many years i am happy to take orders from others, working as a team or on my own. I have always been a hands on worker and have very good initive. I am also very good with working with owners and making sure their needs are also met.
I would describe myself as competent, experienced rider who has taken part in amateur events.
I have competed in unaffiliated hunter trials (including horseware championship), one day events, dressage, showjumping and showing.
