I live on site at the Royal Stud in Sandringham where there are three working yards. I have my own transport and work flexibly in order to meet the needs of the business. The stud has to be maintained at a certain standard as owners may visit at any time. In addition to the duties detailed above: I can be called upon at all hours to assist during a foaling or be required to travel, either alone or for transportation of a horse. I am involved with training agency staff in areas that I am knowledgeable in. I have worked 12 hour night shifts during the foaling season and monitor the CCTV system. I have also assisted the vet and assisted the farrier when necessary.
