I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.

Have been studying and working with horses from a young age (13) where i helped out at the local stables before pursuing my dream of wanting to learn in depth about horses. I then loaned my first pony at age 15 before having to give him up due to college commitments. College allowed me to improve my riding ability as i studies Level 3 animals and equine management for 2 years and then moved onto University where I study Equine Studies, during the 1st year yard duties were compulsory every morning and a rota for evening and weekend duties were required as part of the module. 6 weeks work experience was also a requirement in the 1st year where I found a polo yard and worked there for the duration.
Enjoy working with performance horses such as showjumping or dressage. Willing to try a new discipline or type of working environment.
I have mainly participated in flat riding and training of horses, getting the horse to work better on the flat before moving onto disciplines. University worked a lot on flat work riding and dressage but we do have jump lessons too which I find my exciting.
I have been very fortunate to be selected for the past 2 years to ride for the University as part of their BUCS team where we go and compete against other universities during the academic year.
