I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.

Veterinary Surgeon. BVSc MRCVS
Treating sick and injured animals.
Have previously worked in horse yards, racing and general. Very good at handling horses, especially those that are scared, timid, hard to handle etc One example: - At Veterinary School I demonstrated this by befriending a horse no one else had. Hospitalized for daily wound care he needed sedating every day. He had a head collar and lead rope on at all times so people could grab he and sedate him. Within half and hour of meeting this horse I had groomed him from head to tail, and he was calmly eating his hay.I took his head collar off the first day. During the week I groomed and bathed him and got rid of all his rain scald. By the end of the week he didn't need any sedation for his wound care.
Qualified Vet, wanting a long term break from the Veterinary world. Last post was emergency night work. I able able to remain calm and focused during emergencies, multi task, prioritise and direct others in the face of several emergencies arriving at the same time. Pragmatic approach to tasks.
General hacking out riding.
