I studied at university for three years to become a vet. I speak Spanish and English fluently and can communicate with the Polish, Italian and Romanian grooms I manage. I can use the computer to keep track of vets, dentist, Farrier’s and body worker appointments, feed orders and the daily running off the yard. I have good social skills and I liaise with the clients and make sure all their needs are met at all times. I have been CPC checked. I have a full UK driving license.
Manage Polo yard, organise Polo tournaments and chukkas, teach Polo in Polo school beginners and novice, back, school and train youngsters, overall responsibility for yard, manage staff, organise daily duties, sole charge of yard when owner away.
I grew up in Argentina helping my father from a very young age produce polo ponies and working cow horses on the farm. I have a very broad experience of different horses as my whole life has been spent on horseback, including going to school. I have also hunted and have trained many young horses myself that have gone on to play polo. I currently manage a polo yard and polo riding school so am responsible for approx 50 horses, including mares and foals, youngsters, professional high goal polo ponies and the riding school ponies. I am used to working under extreme pressure and at a very fast pace, whilst also maintaining very high standards. I am used to working hard and for very long and out of office hours.
Yard manager, young horse trainer, player and groom, used to working with multiple ponies at a time and producing them to exceptional standards. I am a competent and very experienced rider, especially bringing on youngsters. I have an interest in Natural Horsemanship techniques and I trained to be a vet for three years in Argentina. I didn’t quite finish my training as I became a father and took responsibility for my family, but I am experienced in many equine health matters.
I am happy to ride anything. Re-schooling, starting, backing, training, I have experience of it all. I also deal with the more challenging horses as my vast experience of the traditional Gaucho techniques mixed with the Natural Horsemanship philosophy has proved very successful over the years.
I have a 1 goal handicap in Polo
I play polo in the club but have groomed at the high goal competitions at Guards and Cowdray at the high profile Polo matches with some of the top professionals from all around the world. I am often at the matches where members of the Royal family play.
I am happy to learn any other discipline. Because I am a competent and confident rider, I feel I could switch to other riding styles easily.
