I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
currently working in RDA but wanting to break into the eventing industry. hard working, empathetic and handy with a tool.pretty brave rider always wanting to progress as far as possible, can be flexible with hours/days working.
Being an A-level student I dont have any equine experience to my name. I do have yard experience and am willing to learn on the job. At 13 years I helped my auntie at an eventing yeard going to shows with the well know jonathen (jock) paget. Since then last summer I worked at a livery yard that had a few dressage competition horses and I now work for a livery (RDA) yard on saturdays where I have sole charge of the yard on my shift which at the moment is catering for 10 horses from 12hh-15.3hh.
I have been riding for nearly 10 years, I have a saturday job at the moment where I am deputy groom, however have full control of the yard which consists of 10 horses.
I have been consistently riding since I was 8/9 years old and got my first share horse at 13 years old. From that I have had a 14.3hh jumping pony and have also had a 16.1hh project horse that has been left for 3 years in a field, used to be a carriage horse but I produced into a dressage/ showing horse. First competition on him would be this summer as not quite ready yet.
I love everything envolved with horses, from the stable managment side to the actual riding. I would like to further my experience now and go onto bigger and better things once i have finished my a levels- (july this year)
I love all riding but my heart lies with jumping, would prefer to further my knowledge in a showjumping yard or eventing, I love dressage but it doesnt give me the same thrill as the others.
I have worked in an eventing envrionment before, however a while back when i was 13 for jonathen paget (eventing) I dont go to many shows myself (only local and unaffiliated) this is what I have a passion for though and would like to branch my experience out.
