I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.

I have no riding qualifications as of yet, but have 12 years experience of working with and being around horses and working yards. I have 12.5 GCSEs ranging from A* to C. Recently finished college with 4 A-Levels. Business. World Development. Geography. Travel and Tourism.

I have been extremly passionate about horses since a young age. I had riding lessons at a local yard when I was 5 years old. I then proceeded to have my first horse share/loan at a well established local Equestrain Centre at 11 years old, where I cared for a pony for a minimum of 5 days per week. I would clean up after the pony, lead in hand, ride (hack alone and in company/lessons/jumping/XC), clean tack, groom and compete in local shows. I then continued to have part loans and shares for the next 8 years, most of them private. I cared for a range of horses and ponies in breeds and in age. I have helped brake in and gain the confidence of a 3 year old over a 2 year loan, as well as excercing/happy hacking a 28 year old retired show jumper, which I am currently enjoying doing. I have also riden and shared an ex polo horse. I have recently completed 4 A-levels at College. I am eager to keep learning, and am looking to pursue a career in animals, especially horses.
I am hard working and pay attention to detail. I am excellent at following instructions in detail and work well automatously with efficiency. I can also work well within a team as I am very calm, flexible and take other peoples opinions and ideas on board. I am responsible and work well under pressure. I was a member of Rainbows, Brownies and the Guides, and stayed committed to Guides as a Young Leader during my GCSE's. I enjoy being outdoors, with dogs as well as horses.
I am confident with the gates of a horse. I have ridden several horses, ranging in age and independently taken them out on hacks where I fully exercise them, which includes galloping, including dealing with their challenging behaviour. I have also confidently hacked out on busy roads. I have previously jumped up to 3ft on previous horses but currently looking after two 28 year olds who would find it too strenuous. I have ridden youngers. I am very keen to keep learning and develop my skills.
I have previous experience of going to local shows, hosted by my local Equestrian Centre. I have competed and done well in One Day Events and the three components that they include.
