I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.

Leading a small team in day to day retail shop.
I have been riding since I was four on variety of different horses. I worked on a livery yard whilst I was at school, did lots of extra hours in holidays/cover other staff's illnesses. Included general yard duties, with a variety of different horses and different needs, plus people/team skills as there were visitors to the yard. I also had some sole charge when other staff couldn't make it into work. Laterly, I had my horses on a showjumper's yard, I had the opportunity to ride her Stallion and compete her international Grade A. I have accompanied her to shows, both day and stay, including the All England chamionships at Hickstead, from getting them ready at home to warming up. I have also took sole charge of her yard when she is abroad competing, which meant turning out, mucking out around 20 stables, cleaning, bringing in, feeding. I have also helped her bring on two of her homebred youngsters from helping with ground work and hacking out for the first time.
I am a hard working, trustworthy, reliable person. I want to learn new things and develop my riding and competing further. I am very willing to learn and I am not afraid of hard work! Now looking for my career in the equine industry after gaining confidence within my retail jobs, however they are not for me! My love is for horses and that's what I need to do!
I have ridden many different types of horses before and own three of my own. I have brought my 2 competing horses on from 4y/o. One is currently jumping to discovery and hope to BE90. I have just reaffiliated my other after a long rehab for SI, with the hope to start her off in discovery classes. I do like working with horses on the ground as well as riding, I particularly like bringing them on from a young age, with breaking in and schooling something I would love to do plus also teaching!
My main love is for showjumping having just affilated again hoping to progress with my two working horses. Have also competed at many cross country events, a goal is to ride a BE90 on one of mine. Won unaffiliated prelim dressage champion with my cob, used to do a lot of dressage. Many sj unaffiliated placings and competed at many differnt shows with my horses and my friends Grade A.
